METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WASHING MACHINE TO PREVENT NOISE AND WEAR FROM FRICTION OF COUPLING IN MOVING COUPLING WHILE ROTATING DRIVING MOTOR WITH RESIDUAL POWER

PURPOSE: A control method of a washing machine is provided to prevent noise and wear from friction of the coupling in moving the coupling by draining after finishing washing or dehydrating, and by switching the clutch motor into the dehydration mode after the predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: A control unit stores water in a water tub and a washing tub by operating a feed valve(S11), and operates the clutch motor in the washing mode(S12). The rotational water stream is formed in the washing tub, and the laundry is washed by agitating the washing shaft and the pulsator to the right and the left(S13). Polluted washing water is drained by operating a drain valve, and washing water is supplied to the washing tub and the water tub in selecting rinsing course(S14,S15). The laundry is rinsed by forming the water stream(S16), and polluted washing water is drained from the washing tub and the water tub(S17). Time is counted after turning off the driving motor or finishing draining(S18), and the clutch motor is operated in the dehydration mode(S19,S20).
