PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating a vertical size in response to a high voltage change is provided to remove the flickering of the vertical screen size in response to the illumination change of the screen by compensating the vertical screen size. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for compensating a vertical size in response to a high voltage change includes a vertical size adjustment key(100), a micro-controller unit(MCU)(200), a horizontal/vertically processor IC(300), a vertical output unit(400) and an FBT(500). The vertical size adjustment key outputs the vertical size adjustment signal. The MCU outputs the low control when the signal is a low frequency and outputs the high control signal when the signal is a high frequency. The horizontal/vertically processor IC outputs the vertical size change signal to adjust the vertical size of the monitor. The vertical output unit changes the vertical size of the monitor by receiving the vertical size change signal from the horizontal/vertical process IC. And, the FBT outputs the high voltage to the vertical/horizontal deflection circuit and the video circuit of the monitor.
