An integrated full-service customer banking system and how to initiate an account

The integrated financial system includes a single customer account 17 to enable a customer to perform a variety of financial transactions. The account includes at least a banking element and an intermediary element. Consistent user interface means 10 can be used by a customer from at least an automatic teller machine 12 [2] and other sources including a telephone 12 [5] and a personal banker 12 [7] Out. This account can flexibly cope with various other components such as credit cards, credit lines, securities credit components and money market components. A method and system for opening a single consolidated account for a customer in a single session is described.
