METHOD FOR ALLOCATING SLC BETWEEN TWO SS7 SIGNAL POINTS USING MTP3 TEST MESSAGES

PURPOSE: A method for allocating SLCs(SeLection Code) between two SS7(Signaling System No. 7) signal points is provided to automatically allocate SLCs only by using MTP3(Message Transfer protocol 3) test messages. CONSTITUTION: A signal link test message for attempting a connection to a signal point B using an SLC allocated at a signal point A. An SLC of corresponding links is allocated by using an SLC in a message by authenticating the signal link test message received from the signal point A. A signal system test response is transmitted to the signal point A as a response including the SLC allocated to the signal point B. Whether the signal system test response includes the same SLC in the signal link test message is determined. When the SLCs are identical, the SLC is allocated.
