PURPOSE: A compensation payment electronic in a commerce system on the Internet and an operation method thereof are provided to activate an electronic commerce by rapidly compensating for imperfect commerce of products and prices, thereby increasing the reliability between merchants and customers. CONSTITUTION: In case that a customer accesses a merchant web site through a customer terminal on the Internet and wants to purchase a product and a service in the merchant web site(P1), the web site informs the customer of the product and the service(P26). In case of taking out an insurance, a merchant can take out the insurance by products in the merchant web site. In case that the merchant takes out an insurance on prices for the products, the merchant web site transmits information on a customer and information on a product selected by the customer including insurance information to an insurance company web site(P20). The insurance company web site transmits an insurance number to the merchant web site and the customer terminal(P29). A financial payment agency pays the price for the product to the merchant(P2). The agency sends a bill to the customer terminal through a web site of the financial payment agency(P3). An insurance company compensates the merchant and the customer for damages from a transaction of products and prices(P65).
