WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT WITH ARTIFICIAL WET LAND AND UPFLOW MULTI-LAYER BIO-REACTOR CAPABLE OF REMOVING NITROGEN AND PHOSPHOROUS FROM WASTEWATER WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY
PURPOSE: To provide an advancement wastewater treatment plant that is able to remove suspended solid, nitrogen and phosphorous from wastewater with high efficiency and keep the water quality of treated water constant regardless of a flow amount change and a concentration change by installing an artificial wet land to a biological treatment system consisting of an upflow multi-layer biological reactor, a contact carrier tank and the like. CONSTITUTION: The plant comprises an upflow multi-layer biological reactor (1) that removes organic materials, nitrogen and phosphorous from wastewater by using microorganisms and concentrate sludge therefrom, a contact carrier tank that nitrifies supernatant overflown from the upflow multi-layer biological reactor by using a nitrification microorganism, and an artificial wet land (4) that includes a gravel and artificial carrier layer having an artificial carrier for removing phosphorous and a sulfur compound added artificial layer and removes suspended solid, phosphorous and nitrogen from the supernatant when the supernatant treated by the contact carrier tank passes through the gravel and artificial carrier layer.
