摘要

PURPOSE: A failure-diagnosing apparatus and a method for a vehicle of a manual transmission by using a piezo-electric element are provided to detect a failure in the manual transmission previously by detecting pressure of an outer ring of a bearing in the manual transmission with the piezo-electric element. CONSTITUTION: A failure-diagnosing apparatus comprises a detecting device(100) of pressure of vibration for a bearing, an engine control device(200) and a driving device(300). The detecting device of pressure of vibration for the bearing detects pressure of vibration of the bearing in an outer ring of the bearing in the manual transmission. The engine control device outputs a warning signal of the failure by comparing voltage ratio according to vibration of the bearing. The driving device turns on a checking lamp for the transmission after synchronizing with the warning signal. Thereby, the failure of the transmission is detected previously by detecting pressure of the outer ring of the bearing with the piezo-electric element.
