PURPOSE: An IP network management system and its method are provided to collect all traffic data from IP equipments of every grade within an allowed period by checking a response speed of the IP equipments, and then variably allocating the number of processes suitably to the checked result. CONSTITUTION: A response speed measuring unit(110) measures a speed of collecting a specific object of the first IP equipment(400). A grade generating/classifying unit(120) classifies the first IP equipment(400) into a specific grade according to the measured object collecting speed. An equipment grade classifying unit(130) classifies the second IP equipment(400) which collects traffic data into a specific grade with reference to the classified grade-related information. A process allocating unit(140) allocates a basic process of each classified specific grade to the second IP equipment(400). A traffic data collecting unit(150) collects traffic data from the second IP equipment(400) performing the allocated process and manages a network with reference to the collected traffic data.
