PURPOSE: To provide a lid supporting device for improving airtightness between ascension pipe of coke oven and lid of coal charging car, wherein the lid is accurately inserted and mounted into the ascension pipe without formation of a gap even when the ascension pipe is deformed and slightly deviated from an initial installation position. CONSTITUTION: In a device supported by a rod of cylinder moved forward and backward to the lower side with a lid for sealing an ascension pipe of coke oven being mounted on a charging car, and supporting rods(52) lifted and lowered with being connected to the rod, the lid supporting device for improving airtightness between the ascension pipe of coke oven and the lid of coal charging car is characterized in that an upper part of a first lid connector(60) is rotatably mounted on an end of the rod(12), a lower part of the first lid connector is rotatably connected to a sliding bar(62) that is vertically movably mounted on the lid, the sliding bar is elastically supported to the first lid connector by a spring(64), an upper part of a second lid connector(56) is rotatably mounted on an end of the supporting rods, and a lower part of the second lid connector is rotatably connected to the lid.
