PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for removing an interfering signal in a TD-CDMA mobile communication system are provided to enable a base station of an adjacent cell to accurately detect an interference component among overall reception signals and remove it to thereby accurately estimate data received from a mobile terminal in its own cell. CONSTITUTION: When a measurement control message is transferred from an RNC(Radio Network Controller)(701) to a UE(User Equipment)(704) through a reference base station(Node B1)(702), the UE(704) checks whether a signal transmitted by the UE(704) works as a major interference component of a neighbor base station(Node B2)(703) and transmits a report on the corresponding measurement to the RNC(701). Upon receiving the measurement report, the RNC(701) transmits a reception command to the neighbor base station(Node B2)(703). The neighbor base station(Node B2)(703) measures an interference component according to reception signals received from UEs positioned in other base stations including the reference base station(Node B1)(702) and removes the interference component from every received signal component.
