PURPOSE: An RF(Radio Frequency) repeater management method and a system thereof are provided to monitor the fault state of an RF repeater by using a PCS terminal as an equipment that executes a data transmission and reception function for the RF repeater, collecting data for the management of the RF repeater and data for peripheral propagation environments, and transmitting the collected data to a repeater management server. CONSTITUTION: An RF repeater management system comprises an RF repeater module(100), a short message center(110), a repeater management server(120), and a user group(130). The RF repeater module(100) is comprised of an RF repeater(102), an NMS(Network Management System)(104), and a PCS terminal(106). The RF repeater module(100) reports the state of the RF repeater(102) to the repeater management server(120) by transmitting the data collected at the repeater(102) to the repeater management server(120), executing the RF repeater(102) according to a command issued from the repeater management server(120), and providing an execution result to the repeater management server(120). The short message center(110) executes an intermediation function to forward a short message, transmitted from the PCS terminal(106) by wireless, to the repeater management server(120) and to transfer a short message command, transmitted from the repeater management server(120), to the PCS terminal(106).
