PURPOSE: A call processing method and a call processing device in a packet transmission system of a voice signal are provided to divide a call into two start half calls and end half calls, so that a core packet network of an MSC can direct the calls to be processed by considering flexibility. CONSTITUTION: A system receives a call having call contents, start information and end information on an ingress channel(702). The system establishes a start half call context for the call according to the start information(704). The system controls the start half call context by the first control module of a call controller(706). The system directs the second control module of the call controller to establish an end half call context for the call(708). The end half call context is established according to the end information(710). The end half call context is controlled by the second module(712). The call contents are transmitted to the end context from the start context by the first and second control modules(714). The call contents are transmitted on an egress channel(716).
