PURPOSE: A paper supplying apparatus is provided to stably supply paper when a front end of a paper supplying unit is not arrayed by changing the paper contact position of a paper supplying roller. CONSTITUTION: A paper supplying apparatus includes a paper inserting part(11), a paper supplying roller(20), a pressure member(30), and a pressure member controlling unit. The paper inserting unit maintains many pieces of paper. The paper supplying roller(20) rotatably operates and formed in the shape having a circular arc part and a bowed part. The pressure member confronts the surface of the paper supplying roller(20) and pressurizes paper with respect to the surface of the paper supplying roller(20). The pressure member controlling unit changes the position of the pressure member(30) into a position spaced from the paper supplying roller when the paper supplying roller confronts the pressure member(30).
