PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to improve brightness uniformity of center and peripheral part of a panel and impact resistance, even in the panel glass having a center transmittivity of 50 to 60%. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube comprises a panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, with a curvature of outer surface in a diagonal direction satisfying the value of 12R or higher to 30R or lower, and a curvature of inner surface in a diagonal direction satisfying the value of 2.2R or higher to 3.2R or lower, wherein 1R is 25.4*V(diagonal visual size)*1.767, wherein 1R is 16 when V is 17'. The panel has a center transmittivity of 50 to 60%.
