PURPOSE: A suture assisting and maintaining device is provided to effectively perform a suture operation without being affected by the body part or motion or posture of a patient, by closing a diseased body part through the use of an elastic material. CONSTITUTION: A suture assisting and maintaining device comprises a suture thread(130) penetrating through the circumference of a diseased body part; a tightening member(120) for joining both ends of the suture thread into a single point, and tightening both ends; a drawing member(140) for drawing the suture thread so as to allow the tightening member to tighten the suture thread; an accommodation member(110) for accommodating the drawing member, and allowing the tightening member to tighten the suture thread by pushing the tightening member when the suture thread is drawn by the drawing member; and a position fixing member(150) for fixing the position of the drawing member of the tightening member.
