PURPOSE: A driver apparatus of a liquid crystal display device and its driving method are provided to perform multi-driving of resolution of the liquid crystal display device using a MOS thin film transistor and also to reduce power consumption by changing output waveform of a gate driver according to the resolution of video data. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel(110) has gate lines and data lines formed in a matrix. A timing controller(108) generates a mode change signal to change resolution of data displayed on the liquid crystal panel and generates a start pulse. A clock generator(112) generates a number of clock signals according to the mode change signal. A shift register array includes shift registers generating a gate signal by shifting the start pulse according to the clock signals and then supplying the gate signal to the gate lines. And a switching array supplies one of the start pulse and an output signal of the front shift register to the other shift registers according to the clock signals.
