PURPOSE: A method is provided to reduce errors and time consumption, by automatically calculating stresses for each of operating conditions of power plant through the use of a predetermined program. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S1) of constituting a finite element method(FEM) model for calculating stresses; a step(S2,S3) of inputting information on excessive state, physical value of material, operation condition, and applied load to the FEM model, and calculating the temperature and pressure applied to each section of the FEM model; and a step(S4,S5) of calculating maximum and minimum stresses for each operating condition, by using the calculated temperature information and the applied load information including thermal load information on welded parts for each of operating conditions.
