PURPOSE: A method for managing failures of an ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) service using an improved failure management business procedure is provided to suggest a systemized/standardized method for the failure management business procedure from a failure reception step of a subscriber to a recovery step. CONSTITUTION: Processing modules needed for operating an ADSL failure management method are installed to a user computer, and environment setting information and operation information between the user computer and an ADSL device are generated. A damage of the service environment/operation information on the user computer is monitored. For the failure reception, a reporter is guided to failure diagnosis/repair/recovery steps through a call. A location/type/cause of the failure generated in a PC domain is checked(E5). The cause of the failure is recovered through a standardized processing module(E22). The ADSL service is restarted(E12).
