PURPOSE: A driver information system for a vehicle is provided to upgrade a user interface module and a function module and to execute combined commands by connection of operation of each component in the user interface module. CONSTITUTION: A driver information system for a vehicle includes a user interface module(35), a function module(37), and a control unit(33). The user interface module includes at least one component the state of which is changeable by user's operation. The user interface module decides the state of the component on the basis of the operation of the component by a user. The function module includes at least one function execution command part(41,43,45) producing a specific function execution command according to the state of the component decided by the user interface module. The control unit executes control to make the corresponding device driven according to the function execution command of the function module.
