PURPOSE: A mobile storage device combined with a smart card to support multiple host interfaces using different communication protocols, and an interfacing method for the same are provided to apply for diverse hosts without adding a signal pin. CONSTITUTION: The signal pins(DP1-DPK) include a mode discriminating pin. A mode determining part(110) determines one operation mode from a smart card mode and a memory card mode depending on a level of the first initial input signal received through the mode discriminating pin. A smart card module(120) communicates with a smart card host in the smart card mode. A memory card module(130) supports the interface with the memory card hosts using the different communication protocols. For the memory card mode, the memory card module communicates with the connected memory card host and stores data.
