PURPOSE: A system and a method for credit card settlement commonly using a credit card inquiry terminal with multiple sellers are provided to enable the multiple sellers to reduce a purchase expense and a credit card inquiry charge by assigning identification information to each seller and enabling the sellers to commonly use the credit card inquiry terminal with the identification information. CONSTITUTION: When purchase approval request information is generated in the credit card inquiry terminal(20a), the identification information is attached to the purchase approval request information if the identification information is inputted from a data input tool. A relay server(50) operates a businessman searching module(60) including a trade name list database for storing the information including a trade name matched with each business identification information. The relay server attaches the matched trade name information extracted from the trade name list database to the purchase approval request information including the businessman identification information, and transmits the information to a VAN(Value Added Network) company server(30).
