摘要

PURPOSE: An impact-buffering on/off device in a folder-type mobile terminal and an on/off control method thereof are provided to prevent the LCD of a display part from getting damaged by making an impact, generated when a folder is closed, absorbed through a damper. CONSTITUTION: An impact-buffering on/off device in a folder-type mobile terminal comprises a motor(5), a pinion gear(6), and a damper(7). The motor(5), supplied power from a printed circuit board according to the sensing of an angular motion detection sensor, rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. The pinion gear(6) is connected to the shaft(5a) of the motor(5). The rotary power of the motor(5) is delivered to the pinion gear(6). The damper(7), composed of a head(7a) and a bar(7b), damps an impact due to the contact between a main body(1) and a folder(2) when the folder(2) is opened or closed. At a side of the bar(7b), a rack gear to convert the rotary motion into a rectilinear motion is formed.
