PURPOSE: A washing machine for improving sterilization effect is provided to prevent the generation of silver chloride remaining in the laundry by decreasing reactivity of a silver ion and to reduce block-up of a pipe and damage of clothes caused by extraction of the silver chloride. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine for improving sterilization effect is composed of a silver solution storage tank(34) embedded in the washing machine to keep a silver solution; a water supply valve(35) for feeding the water into the silver solution storage tank; a dechlorinating tank(39) for removing chlorine from the water before the water is fed to the water supply valve; a pair of electrodes contained in the silver solution storage tank, wherein at least the anode is made of silver; and an electricity supply unit(38) for applying electric power to the electrodes.
