PURPOSE: A fourth-generation wheel bearing unit is provided to minimize cumulative tolerance of a wheel bearing and a constant velocity joint, to easily reduce weight, and to easily cut down the cost. CONSTITUTION: In a fourth-generation wheel bearing unit(100), an inner race track is formed to a surface coming in contact with a wheel bearing to utilize a constant velocity joint housing of a hub as an inner race of the wheel bearing arranged to an outer race. A spline shaft of a constant velocity joint is fastened by a fastening nut(1) in fastening the hub and the constant velocity joint. An inner race housing having an inner race track(6b) is combined to the outer peripheral surface of the inner end of the hub. Two shafts divided by cutting a drive shaft(11) combined to the constant velocity joint are connected through spline shaft connection and the assembling and removal of boots(10,16) is facilitated. A depressed groove(13a) is formed to the circumferential surface of the shaft to prevent separation in an axis direction of the shafts in spline shaft connection of the divided drive shaft. A C-ring(13) is fitted into the depressed groove.
