PURPOSE: A method and a device for supplying an emergency power of a portable device are provided to supply an emergency power to a portable device during a certain time by an embedded secondary battery, when the portable device cannot be executed since an external battery is discharged or is separated from the device, thereby supplying power in an emergency. CONSTITUTION: A battery is detached from or mounted on a portable device(200), and supplies an outer power to the device(200). An outer power sensor(238) senses that the battery power deteriorates at less than a certain voltage. An inner battery(230) is mounted inside the device(200), and provides an inner power to the device(200). An inner power sensor(232) senses that a voltage of the inner battery(230) goes under a certain voltage. A power switching unit(234) switches the outer power to the inner power or switches the inner power to the outer power according to a control signal. A microprocessor(216) switches the outer power to the inner power by controlling the power switching unit(234), if the battery power deteriorates at less than the certain voltage.
