AIR CLEANER FOR SENSING VARIOUS POLLUTION SOURCES AT ANY SPOTS BY INSTALLING PLURALITY OF POLLUTION SENSORS AT VARIOUS POSITIONS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To provide an air cleaner which not only maintains the clean state by sensing various pollution sources at any spots and promptly cleaning air, but also purifies indoor air by controlling air volume according to pollution degree sensed by a plurality of pollution sensors, and a method for controlling the air cleaner. CONSTITUTION: The air cleaner comprises a key input part(100) for inputting an operation instruction of user; a plurality of pollution sensors(310,320,330,340) for measuring pollution degree of various pollution sources in a room; a load driving part(500) for performing air cleaning operation; a control part(400) for respectively controlling the inputting state of the key input part and the operating state of the load driving part according to indoor degree of pollution detected from the plurality of pollution sensors; and an indication part(200) for indicating the operating state of the control part, wherein the plurality of pollution sensors are consisted of sensors capable of materials contained in air including a smog sensor, a sulfur dioxide sensor, a nitrogen compound sensor, a carbon monoxide sensor, a dust sensor and a smell sensor.
