PURPOSE: A bidirectional remote control system in a local wireless network and a controlling method thereof are provided to support an access between remote stations within the same local wireless network as well as an access to other local wireless network through a base station-oriented call and a remote station-oriented call, thereby constructing a wideband wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: A DTMF/Data modem(40) converts and demodulates various data including a call request or a control signal. A switching controller(30) controls connections with each remote station by controlling on/off operations of plural switches included in a switch unit(25). A main controller(20) receives data from each remote station to monitor states of each remote station, and displays the monitored states of the remote stations through a state display(50). The main controller(20) relays connections between the remote stations or relays connections between the remote stations and a central base station.
