PURPOSE: A manufacturing device of a friction member is provided to enable exact positioning by correcting an error although an error occurs in attachment positions of plural metal molds constituting each set. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing device of a friction member comprises frame metal molds(106) each having a through space(106a) to receive the friction member; first metal molds(105) connected and separated to/from the frame metal molds directly or indirectly via an interposition by moving relatively to the frame metal molds, on one side of the through space of the frame metal mold; second metal molds(107) advancing and retreating relatively to the frame metal molds by advancing from the other side of the through space in a state of closing an opening of the through space; a base part for the frame metal molds holding the frame metal molds; a base part for the first metal molds holding the first metal molds; and a base part for the second metal molds holding the second metal molds. At least one base part of each base part and each metal mold held to the base parts are held in a state movable in a direction cross to the advancing and retreating direction. Prominent parts(108) are formed to one-sides of the first metal mold and the frame metal mold or the interposition and depressed parts(2) are formed to the other sides. The positions between the first metal molds and the frame metal molds are decided by fitting the prominent parts and the depressed parts.
