PURPOSE: A home network access security system and a controlling method thereof are provided to inform of a home network access through a portable terminal of a preset user, and to enable the access only when the user is permitted to access the network, thereby improving a security function of the home network. CONSTITUTION: A home network system(50) is controllable inside or outside a house. An Internet site server(20) transmits an access request and an access permission confirm message, and permits a user to access a site according to a response message of the confirm message. A communication provider(30) receives the access request and the confirm message from the Internet site server(20), transmits the received request and the message to a user terminal(40), and transmits the response message transmitted from the user terminal(40) to the Internet site server(20).
