NETWORK SCANNING SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING FLEXIBLE USER INFORMATION MANAGEMENT WITHOUT USING STORAGE SPACE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING USER INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A network scanning system for implementing flexible user information management without using a storage space and a method for managing user information are provided to need no storage space by flexibly managing use information of a user and remove inconvenience to directly check availability of a scanner by enabling the user to frequently check a use state of a canner on a PC. CONSTITUTION: The PC(120) is equipped with a client program. As the client program is executed, the client program transmits a user registration packet to registered external devices(100). If the client program is terminated or registration of one device is canceled, the client program transmits a user registration cancellation packet to the registered external devices. The external device is a network MFP(Multi-Functional Product) transmitting changed state information to the registered PC through packet exchange. The network MFP adds a PC user to a user list if the user registration packet is received from the client program and removes the PC user from the user list if the user cancellation packet is received.
