MOLTEN IRON DESULFURIZING METHOD FOR CHECKING SULFUR CONTENT IN MOLTEN IRON BY SAMPLING MOLTEN IRON AND MEASURING MOLTEN IRON LEVEL OF TORPEDO CAR BY SUPERSONIC LEVEL GAUGE

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a method for efficiently performing desulfurization, improving productivity and reducing manufacturing cost of molten steel by varying a desulfurization method according to content of sulfur in molten iron and level of molten iron in a torpedo car in a molten iron pretreatment process. CONSTITUTION: The molten iron pretreatment method for desulfurization comprises a step of checking content of sulfur in molten iron contained in the arrived torpedo car when a torpedo car containing molten iron is arrived at a pretreatment station from a blast furnace; a step of determining an injection quantity of desulfurizer according to the checked sulfur content, and measuring level of molten iron in the torpedo car by a supersonic level measuring instrument; a step of setting height pattern of a lance according to the measured molten iron level, and injecting desulfurizer according to the set lance height pattern to carry out a desulfurizing operation; and a step of analyzing if desulfurization is performed as much as a target amount by sampling the desulfurizing operation completed molten iron when the desulurizing operation is completed.
