FIELD EMISSION DISPLAY INCLUDING SUPPORT MEMBER FOR SUPPORTING GRID ELECTRODE ON FRONT SUBSTRATE WITHOUT ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BETWEEN GRID ELECTRODE AND ANODE ELECTRODE

PURPOSE: A field emission display is provided to support a grid electrode on a front substrate without electrical connection between the grid electrode and an anode electrode, by using a support member. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display comprises a rear substrate(2) and a front substrate(4) opposed with each other and sealed by a sealant so as to form a vacuum container; cathode electrodes and gate electrodes insulated from each other by an insulation layer on the rear substrate; an electron emitting source disposed on the cathode electrode; a phosphor screen(22) including red, green, and blue phosphor films formed on the front substrate; an anode electrode formed on at least one surface of the phosphor screen; an anode input terminal(26) extended from the anode electrode toward an edge of the front substrate so as to apply anode voltage to the anode electrode; and a grid electrode interposed between the first and second substrates, such that the grid electrode is supported on the front substrate by a support member(32) fixed at the front substrate. The support member of the grid electrode has a cut portion formed at the position corresponding to the anode input terminal, such that the grid electrode is insulated from the anode input terminal through the cut portion.
