WATER BOX OF MULTI-STAGE FLASHING DESALINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE WATER BOX WITHOUT EXPOSURE OF WELDS AND CRACKS

PURPOSE: A water box of a multi-stage flashing desalination system and a method for manufacturing the water box are provided to completely protect the welds of a lining plate and a clad plate with the lining plate. CONSTITUTION: The width of a lining plate(50') is equal to or more than the sum between the sectional thickness(A) of a clad plate(33) and the sectional thickness(B) of a flange(32). Thus, the lining plate completely covers the front end face of the clad plate and the flange. The lining plate is welded with the clad plate by welding the inner face of the inner end portion of the lining plate and the front end inner face of the clad plate. Since a welding bead(52¡~) is formed along the inner circumference of front end portion of the clad plate and is covered with the lining plate, the welds of the lining plate and the clad plate is not ground. Thus, the formation of cracks in the welds is avoided.
