PURPOSE: Provided is a absorbent pad for absorbing food liquid, wherein long-term storage of food and prevention of the leakage of absorbent material are realized by using an imperforate polyethylene film alone or a laminate of imperforate polyethylene film and a tissue layer as top sheet. CONSTITUTION: In a absorbent pad for absorption and storage of liquid from food which consists of a top sheet(10), a back sheet(30) and an absorbent material layer(20) disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, the top sheet consists of imperforate polyethylene film(11) alone or laminate of imperforate polyethylene film and tissue layer(12), the back sheet consists of non-woven fabric(31) alone or laminate of non-woven fabric and tissue layer(32), and the absorbent material layer consists of at least two selected from pulp, thermoactive fiber, absorbent filament and powdery or granular absorbent resin.
