PURPOSE: A monolithic ceramic electronic component and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve a mechanical strength and an electric connection liability by reducing a porosity of an outermost ceramic layer to be smaller than that of inner ceramic layers. CONSTITUTION: A monolithic ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic laminate(20) and outer electrodes(21,22). The ceramic laminate includes a plurality of ceramic layers and a plurality of inner electrodes laminated therein. Each of the outer electrodes is provided on a corresponding main surface of an outermost ceramic layer of the ceramic laminate. The plurality of ceramic layers includes pores. A porosity of at least the outermost ceramic layers of the ceramic laminate is lower than that of the other ceramic layers.
