PURPOSE: A method for calculating a turbine efficiency of a pumped-storage power plant through a thermodynamic method is provided to easily obtain the final weight average efficiency by using a convergence calculation method and a curve interpolation method, while automatically calculating the turbine efficiency with a program. CONSTITUTION: Measured data such as a pressure and a temperature is inputted(S21). A water flow quantity for generation is selected(S22). Mechanical energy of the reduced water through the turbine is calculated(S23). The energy transferred to a turbine shaft by a runner is calculated(S24). The energy removing a loss generated through a generator is calculated(S25). A discharge quantity of the turbine is calculated(S26). It is judged that the calculated discharge quantity is identical with the previous discharge quantity(S27). If the calculated discharge quantity is identical with the previous discharge quantity, the turbine efficiency is calculated/output(S28).
