PURPOSE: A method and a system for transmitting information between NMEs(Network Management Entities) in a wireless communication system are provided to transmit management information in a wireless communication system including at least more than one AP and at least more than one WTRU(Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit), thereby optimizing an RRM(Radio Resource Management) function. CONSTITUTION: At least one AP(110) includes the first management entity(150) and the second management entity(155). At least one WTRU(105) includes the third management entity(165) and the fourth management entity(170). The AP(110) transmits an MIB(Management Information Base) request action frame including a category field and an action detail field to the WTRU(105). By responding to the frame, the WTRU(105) determines whether to send management information to the AP(110). The WTRU(105) compiles management information stored in an MIB(175), and sends an MIB report action frame to the AP(110).
