Purpose: an evaporator of a direct cooling refrigerator is provided to safe high heat transfer efficiency and retains the consumption of power by forming a refrigerant tube face contact slot unit, is one refrigerant tube of contact to a heat transfer member. Construction: an evaporator (66) for a direct cooling refrigerator includes that a refrigerant tube (70) pass through these refrigerant flows and a heat transfer member with refrigerant tube face contact slot unit (82) refrigerant tube for face contact. Heat transfer member such as cylinder side therein is formed, and inside is opened. Recessed outer peripheral edge and the protrusion in the inner circumferential of heat transfer member in refrigerant tube face contact slot unit. Refrigerant tube face contact slot unit is inclined along the periphery of heat transfer member and heat transfer member is separated in vertical direction in equal pitch.
