摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a method for preventing misoperation generated in a manual operation by automatically position controlling roll gap and level in programmable logic controller according to division of the continuous casters of work before rolling the work in finishing mill while storing the optimum gap level in respective continuous casters. CONSTITUTION: The method for automatically setting roll gap level in mini mill process comprises first step of storing roll gap level per each continuous caster by receiving FSU(finishing mill set up) value and continuous caster division information from a supervisory control system; second step of calculating the total oil column setting amount by subtracting the received FSU value from an average oil column value stored already when controlling zero point of roll gap; third step of calculating an oil column level by reading a roll gap level storage value of relevant continuous caster if an automatic mode is set up after checking the key operation state by an operator, and calculating a roll gap level by present work side oil column and present drive side oil column after erasing roll gap level storage values of respective continuous casters if a manual mode is set up; and fourth step of executing automatic position control of work side oil column and drive side oil column by respectively calculating a work side oil column setting amount and a drive side oil column setting amount to which the calculated roll gap level is applied.
