摘要

PURPOSE: A method for controlling an optical power in an optical disk device is provided to make an RF level of a signal recorded by a CAV(Constant Angular Velocity) recording mode equal to an RF level of a signal recorded by a CLV(Constant Linear Velocity) recording mode, thereby performing a stable data reproducing process. CONSTITUTION: A data is recorded(S10). If the recorded data is out of a preset recording section(S11), a controller detects an FG value corresponding to a final recording speed in a CAV recording mode(S12). The controller retrieves a FG value preset so as to correspond a CLV recording mode from an internal memory or another memory(S13), and calculates an optical power controlling offset value by dividing the detected FG value by the preset FG value, and then multiplying an optical power value in a preset CLV recording mode(S14). The controller carries out a recording process in a CLV recording mode which records data at a regular speed(S15), and maintains the data recording process in the CLV recording mode until the recording process is interrupted(S16).
