PURPOSE: A color reproducing performance enhancing apparatus in an optical system is provided to enable implementations of brightness-oriented and color-oriented color reproduction using one set. CONSTITUTION: A color reproducing performance enhancing apparatus in an optical system includes color separators(401,402). The color separators include first and second selection modes. In the first selection mode, each of the four sides of red, green, blue, and white transparent filters has a predetermined region. In the second selection mode, each of the three sides of red, green, and blue filters has another predetermined region different from the predetermined region in the first selection mode on the same plane.
