PURPOSE: To provide a wire rod roll exchanging apparatus for preventing laxity of assembled rolls and improving productivity and quality of products by promptly determining up and down positions of thread bush and constantly maintaining roll binding force when exchanging and assembling wire rod rolls. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for exchanging rolls of wire rod rolling mill comprises a moving part for moving the upper table on which the block stand is put to the chucks of the replacement device by comprising rails installed on the ground toward chucks for fixing a block stand of the wire rod rolling mill, a transfer car moved to the chucks along the rails, a hydraulic cylinder installed on the ground and connected to the transfer car to move the transfer car, a screw jack installed on the transfer car, an upper table installed above the screw jack and vertically lifted and lowered according to operation of the screw jack, a diverter upper plate which is installed on the upper table in such a manner that the diverter upper plate is slidable in a width direction of the rails, and on an upper part of which the block stand is put, a lead screw rotatably installed on the upper table to move the diverter upper plate and engaged with the diverter upper plate, a transfer handle installed at a front end of the lead screw to rotate the lead screw, and a fixing means installed on the diverter upper plate to fix the block stand put on the diverter upper plate; a turn part for turning the chucks to move respective rolls of the block stand fixed to the chucks to an operation position; and a rotary part for rotating a thread bush of the block stand to fix the rolls or release the fixed state of the rolls.
