PURPOSE: A kind detecting device of a bolt is provided to prevent wrong operation of the detecting sensor and breakage by sorting welding bolts corresponding to the length of the welding bolt with the additional dog unit. CONSTITUTION: A bolt kind detecting device for sorting welding bolts according to the length at a side of a welding jig is composed of a dog unit(10) composed of a detecting dog operated up and down by the welding bolt supplied to an installation part of a vehicle body panel and installed to the side of the welding jig by a bracket, a detecting sensor(20) mounted at the side of the dog unit to output the signal by sending the detecting dog, a controller(30) outputting the control signal according to the detection signal from the detecting sensor, and a display unit(40) displaying the accurate kind of the bolt according to the control signal from the controller.
