PURPOSE: A gear box of a steering system with an on-center feel structure is provided to keep naturally the centering of a steering wheel and to compensate straight forward driving of a vehicle by moving a center pin to the outer peripheral surface of an input shaft by a spring and inserting the center pin in a center groove when the steering wheel is positioned in the center. CONSTITUTION: A gear box of a steering system is composed of an input shaft(110) connected with a steering wheel to transmit mechanical power; a valve body(120) installed at the outside of the input shaft to form a passage; a pinion shaft(180) connected and installed at the lower side of the input shaft and rotated interlockingly with the input shaft by the rotation of a torsion bar when the passage is formed; a recessed groove(122) formed at the input shaft and separated from the center of a lower section of the input shaft at the predetermined distance; an on-center feel bar(192) disposed to slide vertically in the recessed groove; a spring(160) arranged between the bottom side of the recessed groove and the on-center feel bar to support the on-center feel bar downward all the time; and a center groove(114) arranged on the upper end of the pinion shaft to correspond to the on-center feel bar and formed with an inclined surface for inserting a predetermined portion of the on-center feel bar.
