PURPOSE: A one-way power transmitting device for a bicycle is provided to install freely in a shaft axis housing of a front wheel and to move forward the bicycle even for reverse-driving by an operating lever. CONSTITUTION: A one-way power transmitting device for a bicycle is composed of a pedal shaft(10) driven forward and reversely by driving a pedal(11) and combined with forward and reverse clutch bearings(22,24); a power transmitting unit comprising a first bevel gear(21) having an inner peripheral surface driven by joining with the forward clutch bearing and formed with a gear unit on one side and a third bevel gear(23) having an inner peripheral surface driven by combining with the reverse clutch bearing and formed with a gear unit on one side; a power converting unit for inserting a second bevel gear(32) on 3¯4 spots of the circumferential surface of a carrier(31) at regular intervals to freely rotate and changing the direction of power by engaging the first and third bevel gears to each other; a sprocket(42) joined with a connection pipe(41) extended and combined with a side projection unit of the first bevel gear to transmit the power; a shaft housing(51) in which components are installed; a combining unit(80) for uniting each component; and a carrier control unit arranged in the shaft housing to limit the rotation of a carrier(31) in reverse-driving and to drive forward and reversely and pull backward the pedal shaft. The carrier has an inner peripheral surface joined with the pedal shaft to freely rotate, an outer peripheral surface inserted into the shaft housing, and holes for fixing pins(71) arranged around the outer peripheral surface at regular intervals.
