PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire capable of detecting heat-emission with the naked eyes is provided to prevent separation caused by excessive internal heat-generation of the tire by detecting temperature rise generated from the tire in traveling with a wing strip containing a discoloring agent. CONSTITUTION: In a pneumatic tire, silica of 30¯100wt% and a discoloring agent of 5¯50wt% for rubber of 100wt% are added in a wing strip(2) formed at the end of a tire tread(1). The color of the wing strip containing the discoloring agent is changed if the temperature of the tire rises suddenly by the internal heat of the tire. Accordingly, the temperature change of the tire is easily detected with the naked eyes. A driver measures easily discoloration degree of the tire from a vehicle room during traveling by installing a mirror to a side mirror.
