METHOD OF ADJUSTING MAGNIFICATION OF A MASKING BLOCK TO PREVENT A PART OF A PICTURED THING THAT REQUIRES PROTECTION OF PRIVACY FROM BEING EXPOSED

PURPOSE: A method of adjusting magnification of a masking block to prevent a part of a pictured thing that requires protection of privacy from being exposed due to panning, tilting and zooming operations of a monitoring camera by displaying the masking block suitable for the pictured thing by overlap with monitored video images, the pictured object being displayed with magnification and movement. CONSTITUTION: Movement quantity of a screen is detected. An instruction for adjusting magnification of the screen is received. When the instruction is received, adjustment magnification of a masking block is set differently according to each of values of at least two coordinates on the screen, wherein the masking block is defined by the values of the coordinates set in advance. A position of the masking block generated according to the adjustment magnification is corrected based on the detected movement quantity of the screen.
