A kind of purpose: method and system, it is used to service star news when the characteristic by using a mobile communication network is provided to the storage character of the famous beginning in changeable type, the character image started accordingly by mobile communication network transmission is to the customer mobile terminal with news, so that a subscriber can easily discover the news on star. Construction: a mobile terminal (210) selects the news on an expected star, receives a character image of star and the content of the news in SMS types, then shows received information. Star news role service server (240) store information on a star news role service and character image for star, transmission character image is wherein in the news on star to mobile terminal (210) when news is updated. One star characteristic DB (242) is stored in the different character images on star. One short message service center (250) obtains information from a founder, and message is entered a SMS message, sends SMS message to a receiver.
