摘要

PURPOSE: A method for separately storing databases of an embedded voice synthesis system is provided to easily access voice synthesis databases by separately storing databases according to frequency of use, thereby improving speed of voice synthesis. CONSTITUTION: Voice wave form databases of a speaker stored on a CFM(Compact Flash Memory)(1) are classified, and frequency of use of each synthesis unit is inspected and recorded. The voice wave form databases of the speaker are arranged according to the recorded frequency of use. The arranged voice wave form databases of the speaker are divided at a predetermined rate. The voice wave form databases of the speaker having high frequency are stored on a RAM(Read Only Memory)(2) which is fast accessible, and other voice wave form databases of the speaker having low frequency are stored on the CFM which is slowly accessible.
