PURPOSE: A device for preventing and alarming sticking of a thermostat is provided to restrict wrong operation of the thermostat from closed sticking by forming a gas generator and a control unit, and to replace the thermostat by warning the breakage of the main valve through the warning window. CONSTITUTION: A sticking preventing and alarming device of a thermostat is composed of a gas generator(10) installed in a wax housing(3) and ignited and exploded by an explosive compound to break a main valve(2) by generating high pressure nitrogen gas, a lead wire(12) embedded in the upper center of a piston(6) and strained in heating, a hot wire(11) installed in the lower center of the piston, connected to the lead wire and spaced from the explosive compound of the gas generator to heat by voltage from the lead wire, a water temperature sensor measuring temperature of coolant, an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) outputting the control signal for operating the gas generator in detecting coolant temperature over the predetermined value, a switch supplying voltage from a battery to a boost unit according to the control signal from the ECU, and the boost unit increasing and supplying voltage from the switch to the lead wire.
